BUILDERS ASSOCIATION 2007 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Builders Association of the Hudson Valley Inc. is pleased to announce that five area students were selected to receive scholarships from the organization.

The BAHV presented $1000 scholarships to the following area students - Joseph Guarneri of Beacon, Edward Bassell of Unionville, Anthony Riccardi, III of Beacon and Ian McCarley of Walden. Presentation of the Scholarship Awards took place at the June 12 General Membership Dinner Meeting of the Association.

In addition, the BAHV Scholarship Endowment also matched a $500 scholarship from the New York State Builders Association Research & Education Foundation to Anthony Thomaselli of Beacon, New York. It was presented by Foundation Trustee and past NYSBA President Vincent Bettina.

All applicants had to be sponsored by a member of the Builders Association of the Hudson Valley. They also had to maintain a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average in high school or college, been accepted to a post secondary college or technical school, and submit a completed application with a brief essay and references.
