GOLF & TENNIS OUTING

It’s one of the most popular events of the summer season. It’s our annual Golf & Tennis Outing, held mid-July at the beautiful Powelton Club in Newburgh.

We start the day early, with a continental breakfast at 6:00 a.m., and a morning tee-off at 7:00 a.m. By 11:30 a.m. the BBQ lunch by the Clubhouse is set and ready to go for the morning golfers who are just returning, and those afternoon golfers anxious to hit the links. Afternoon tee-off is 12:30 p.m.

Tennis players can spend the entire day on the top-notch clay courts of the Powelton Club and it’s fun to watch the competition heat up during the singles and doubles matches.

At 6:30 p.m. everyone comes together for the Awards Reception that is an exceptional evening by anyone’s standards. The winners of the golf outing are announced, as are the winners of tennis.

There are raffle prizes to be distributed, along with the announcement of the big winner in the annual Cash Raffle (which benefits our Scholarship Fund).

It’s a great event, which fills quickly. Reservations forms are available in early April.
